VAUGHAN – Member of Provincial Parliament Greg Sorbara today announced that York Central Hospital (YCH) has received approval to begin Stage Two Planning for the building of the Vaughan Hospital.

January 30, 2012 - Hospital Volunteer Association Celebrates 50 Years of Giving Back
RICHMOND HILL, ON – On January 30, 1962 in the midst of a blinding snow storm community minded residents of the town of Richmond Hill, met at the Lions Hall to discuss what they could offer to help the then-future hospital and its patients. That night, the Volunteer Auxiliary (now called Volunteer Association) was born along with a lifelong commitment to giving for many community residents. Fifty years later, volunteers continue to play a vital role at York Central Hospital. Today we are hosting a special ceremony to celebrate 50 years of volunteering at York Central Hospital.

RICHMOND HILL, ON – In recognition of the growing demand for health care services in Southwest York Region, today MPP Reza Moridi announced $4.1 million in Post Construction Operating Plan (PCOP) funding for York Central Hospital. These funds will enable the hospital to increase the community's access to Intensive Care, Chemotherapy and Medical Day Care, Mental Health and Continuing Care Services by delivering increased patient care in the new capacity created through its major redevelopment project in 2009.
