Hand washing is the best defense against the spread of germs. If you are ill, please do not visit the hospital unless you have an appointment that cannot be moved. If you are unwell and must come, please request a mask to prevent the spread of illness. All York Central Hospital staff, physicians and volunteers receive training to safeguard our patients from germs and diseases. That training includes the use of protective gear (masks, gloves, gowns) as appropriate as well as the application of standard infection control procedures. Staff and patients alike play an important role in reducing the spread of infectious disease by washing their hands regularly and thoroughly.
Hand wash stations are located in all main lobbies, on patient care units and outside patient rooms.
