Billing & Additional Charges

The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers only medically necessary services.

Your bills will be fi nalized on the day of discharge for items not covered by OHIP, such as medical devices, and semi-private and private accommodation. Other charges, e.g. television, will be charged separately to you.

Payment should be made within 30 days from the billing date. If you have insurance coverage, please give us your insurance information and we’ll submit it on your behalf.

You may pay your hospital bills in one of four ways – online, by mail, by phone, or in person.

Long-distance Telephone Charges: Call Financial Services during business hours (between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) to pay by credit card:

  • Inpatients call: (905) 883-1212, ext. 2075
  • Outpatients call: (905) 883-1212, ext. 7446 and/or 7441

Pay Your Bills in Person
Drop off a payment to the Billing Office, Room 2075, Main Floor, Langstaff Wing during business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); or to the reception desk at the Emergency Department (note that you may experience a wait as we tend to patients).
