For your convenience, telephone service is available at your bedside. A telephone
can be ordered between 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Incoming calls: Calls to patient rooms will be connected directly to the
patients telephone between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. To enable
patients to rest, incoming calls will not be connected to patient rooms outside
of these hours. However, patients can call out at anytime, 24 hours a day.
- Outgoing calls: For local 905, 416 and 647 area codes, dial “8” + area code
+ seven digit telephone number. For help with long-distance calls, please
contact the Operator at ext. 0.
- For the hospital Operator, dial 0
In the Centre for Continuing Care and Rehabilitation, ask your nurse how to
access the phone if one is not provided in your room.
Please note that on the Mental Health Unit, telephones are located only in the lounges.
