January 18, 2007 - Thanks to generous community members from Southern York Region and beyond, York Central Hospital Foundation provided a $5 million cheque to help fund the expansion of York Central Hospital (YCH) on January 18, 2007. This is the largest, one-time grant in the 30-year history of the Foundation.
The funds will support the current expansion project at YCH to help build better facilities, provide enhanced services to the community and quality care to YCH patients.
The cheque was presented to York Central Hospital by the Foundation at the same event at which the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced a $3.9 million gift to the hospital for additional infrastructure. |
