York Central Hospital exists to enrich the well being of our community. Our vision is to be the finest community hospital in Canada. The Foundation’s vision is to be essential to York Central Hospital achieving this goal.
We will achieve our vision with inspirational gifts from our community. Your gifts fund life saving equipment and technology, capital improvements and continuing education opportunities, providing dedicated hospital physicians and staff with the necessary tools to better care for the people in our community.
Endowment funds are hallmarks of a great hospital and essential to patient care. York Central Hospital Foundation has made great strides towards the creation of a $10 million endowment for state-of-the-art medical technology and staff education – the importance of which will be profound for the patients of the hospital. Endowment funds provide a substantial reliable revenue stream for priorities of the hospital. The capital is invested and 3.5% of the interest earned is dispersed annually to fund hospital priorities.
Personal Endowment Funds are created by individuals who wish to acknowledge a long-standing relationship with York Central Hospital or honour a loved one in perpetuity. Personal Endowment Funds provide on-going annual support for education and patient care priorities at York Central Hospital.

- Medicine
- Mental Health
- Stroke Program
- Surgery
- Medical Imaging
